In our work as licensed Nuisance Wildlife Control Operators, we navigate the delicate balance between human and wildlife needs daily. Our priority is always to find the most humane and effective solutions for controlling rodent populations, ensuring safety for both people and animals.

Our Methods: A Focus on Humane Practices

There are plenty of ways to humanely trap & remove all rodents; rats & mice. The most common methods are using cage traps & snap traps. Both of which are considered humane & highly effective.

  • Cage Traps: Whenever possible, we opt for cage traps, which allow us to capture and release rats and mice back into their natural habitats. This method ensures the natural circle of life continues, and we make sure to release them in areas where they can thrive without returning to human habitation.
  • Snap Traps: While we prefer non-lethal methods, we also use snap traps when necessary. We understand the concerns about their use, but we ensure it is done with the utmost care to provide a quick and humane resolution. It’s a part of our commitment to solving the problem effectively and ethically.

Our Stance on Glue Boards

We want to address the often controversial use of glue boards, a method we reserve for the most challenging situations where all other efforts have been exhausted. When there is no other option and we are forced to use glue boards, we still check the glue boards every day and take extreme measures to remove a rodent using oil, when possible, and still returning into natural habitat.

We share the concerns about their use and are committed to minimizing their application, focusing instead on more humane alternatives. If you are using, or hire a company who routinely uses glue boards then we encourage you to make certain the traps are checked every day and action (in any form) is better than leaving a rodent on a glue board to slowly die.

Invitation for Dialogue

While we’ve chosen to focus this post on education and awareness, we understand the importance of dialogue. If you have questions or concerns about our practices, we encourage you to reach out directly. Our goal is to foster understanding and ensure the welfare of both wildlife and human communities.
