Believe me we understand the frustration when dealing with the nasty, smelly mess and destruction that geese cause to properties. We have been providing goose control measures for almost Two (2) Decades now. We can quickly help you to regain control of your property and keep the geese OUT!

If you have Nuisance Geese on your property you only have two (2) options to eradicate the problem: Permitted Capture, Control & Removal OR Hazing & Harassment. Let’s explore both options:

1

Our Goose Hazing Program

Regardless is you are able to get a permit for Goose Removal or not, we can implement a program where we routinely employ Goose Hazing & Goose Harassment techniques to the point that the Geese feel so uncomfortable that they move on to somewhere else. This is always the option we would push our clients in the direction of regardless. It is our opinion that this is the BEST way to get rid of the geese (long-term) – It is much more effective, we do not need a permit & it is far less expensive.

The whole idea with our Goose Harassment & Hazing Program is we offer a variety of auditory and/or visual stimulation which is designed to spook or scare the geese into leaving. When we do this properly enough, they give us being persistent to land on your property and find somewhere else to call their temporary home.  We implement many HUMANE measures to harass the Geese. Please note, if you were referred by someone else (a friend, family member or neighbor) we may use completely different hazing tools and measures than what was used on their property. We custom design a hazing program based upon each property’s needs.

The licensed Wildlife Technician will determine, based upon the specifics of your circumstances, which measures will be most effective considering the time of day, number of visits, and much more.

COMMONLY ASKED QUESTIONS REGARDING COOSE CONTROL: (FAQ’S)

Why are geese suddenly taking over our neighborhood pond near Windward Parkway?

Large retention ponds and manicured grass areas create the perfect environment for Canada geese. Communities near Windward, Avalon, and other North Fulton developments often have open shorelines with no natural predators, which makes those ponds very attractive nesting and feeding areas.

Why do geese prefer golf courses and office parks around North Point and Avalon?

Golf courses, corporate campuses, and shopping districts provide open sightlines, short turf for feeding, and nearby water sources. These features make geese feel secure while allowing them to graze comfortably throughout the day.

What exactly is goose hazing and does it hurt the birds?

Goose hazing is a humane deterrent strategy designed to make an area uncomfortable so geese choose to relocate on their own. It does not harm the birds. Instead, it disrupts their sense of safety through consistent pressure and controlled techniques.

Why are the geese becoming aggressive toward residents and pets?

Aggression usually increases during nesting season when geese are protecting eggs or goslings. Residents walking dogs near ponds or walking trails may experience hissing, wing spreading, or charging behavior.

Is it legal to remove or disturb geese in our subdivision?

Canada geese are federally protected, so any control activity must follow wildlife regulations. Hazing is legal when performed correctly, but nest and egg management requires proper authorization.

Will the geese eventually leave on their own?

If geese successfully nest and raise young in a location, they often return year after year. Without intervention, ponds and open green spaces can become established roosting sites.

Why does our HOA need an ongoing goose management program instead of a one-time service?

Geese are habitual and return to places where they feel safe. A structured hazing program prevents them from becoming comfortable and reduces long-term population buildup around ponds and entrances.

Are goose droppings actually a health concern?

Large accumulations of droppings can create sanitation issues, foul odors, slippery walkways, and bacteria buildup around common areas, playgrounds, and waterfront paths.

What is the best time of year to start goose control in North Fulton communities?

Early spring, before nesting season begins, is the most effective time. Preventing nesting activity reduces long-term flock establishment around ponds and landscaped entrances.

Can landscaping changes help reduce goose activity?

Yes. Shoreline plant buffers, taller native vegetation, and reduced open sightlines make ponds less attractive to geese. Combining habitat modification with professional hazing produces the best results.
